Having had a very mild start to November, the month has turned bitterly cold and grey.
It is time to hit back with some colour.

Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
Having made a bad batch of cakes I was on a rescue mission.
Today’s cake reminds me of a recent Korean Drama.
Like the hero who saved his spare cash in a Piggy Bank, I feel a bit lost without a saved cake in the freezer.
This is the sweetcorn dish that accompanied our roast lamb dinner.
Here is the story of how it came about.

The lamb has been roasting in the oven for nearly five hours.
It is time to prepare some side dishes.

As part of our Lamb Shoulder Party we are serving a selection of cheeses.
These oat biscuits are simple to make and taste much better than shop-bought ones.
After the success of the pulled pork party, there is only one thing to do…

This cake is quite special, being both gluten and dairy-free.
Its topping is a marriage of East and West, being a combination of Korean honey citrus and French marmalades.
