Diary: 13 October
Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
Having made a bad batch of cakes I was on a rescue mission.

Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
Having made a bad batch of cakes I was on a rescue mission.
Today’s cake reminds me of a recent Korean Drama.
Like the hero who saved his spare cash in a Piggy Bank, I feel a bit lost without a saved cake in the freezer.
This cake is quite special, being both gluten and dairy-free.
Its topping is a marriage of East and West, being a combination of Korean honey citrus and French marmalades.
As a family we are quite fortunate in not having any specific food intolerances.
However, when entertaining friends, we have had a few requests for gluten and dairy-free cakes.
Diary: Tuesday 14 July
I am a huge fan of Betty’s Café and Tea Room in Yorkshire.
However at camp it is Betty Crocker I have to turn to for help in making a birthday cake.
Gochugaru Girl and Junior 2 made some cakes last night…
…in preparation for the rain we are forecast to have this afternoon.
Gochugaru Girl wishes Junior 3 a Very Happy Birthday.
It is a sunny day, as befits a sunny child.
This is a continuation of the earlier post on bananas and speculoos.
Although an unlikely combination, it did produce a lovely cake.
Gochugaru Girl has a new tea to try this morning.
This makes for a very happy start to the day.
