My morning excursion with Shoe Lady at Gardens by the Bay was one of the highlights (there were many) of my recent stay in Singapore. The whole area comprises many attractions, but we wanted to focus on the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
I tried very hard to limit the number of photos but the air was cool, the plants were in top form and in the end there were 84 photos. This is enough to fill an album, so the selection below gives a flavour of our walk in the curved conservatories.
The theme in Flower Dome changes seasonally. Currently it is Impressions of Monet. I have actually visited Monet’s house and garden at Giverny, but a long time ago. It was really refreshing to see the landscape recreated so beautifully, albeit in miniature form. If France is too much of a challenge to fit into your travel schedule, have a virtual visit of Monet’s house and garden instead.

Our family took a night walk amongst the Gardens’ Supertrees during our trip to Singapore in March. Photos from this walk will be in the next post. Finally, La Famille de Voyageurs is one of my favourite sculptures in the Flower Dome. It featured in the first post I wrote about Singapore when we started revisiting after a 20-year absence, in 2017. The more I visit this island state, the more I feel like I ought to stay a little longer. This is very dangerous indeed.
